Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CC Notch ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

CC Notch is a native macOS menu bar application that provides a visual overlay for monitoring and controlling Claude Code sessions. The App communicates with Claude Code through local hooks and a Unix socket — it does not provide AI capabilities itself.

License

CC Notch is provided as a free download during its early alpha period. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal and commercial purposes on macOS devices you own or control.

Early Alpha Software

CC Notch is currently in early alpha. The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We make no warranties regarding the reliability, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Not redistribute or resell the App
• Take responsibility for any actions approved through the App's approval interface

Tool Approvals

CC Notch allows you to approve or deny tool calls made by Claude Code. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for reviewing and approving actions through the App. The App displays information provided by Claude Code and does not independently verify the safety or correctness of requested actions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of CC Notch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of business.

Updates

The App may automatically check for and install updates via the Sparkle framework. By using the App, you consent to receiving automatic updates. Updated versions may include new terms, which will be effective upon your continued use.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
